Uses a solid state impedance design to continuously test the connection integrity of the entire ground loop including the person, the wrist band, and the coil cord. It monitors two wrist straps and the bench mat. System is fully automatic and activates when wrist strap is plugged into the unit. Provides a green light for safe condition and a red light and tone for unsafe condition. Single threshold Model ST030 tests for the most typical failure modes including lack of contact between skin and strap, worn strap material, and compromised cords and connections. Dual threshold Model DT030 also tests for lost minimum resistance (i.e. failure of wrist strap safety resistor). Units are powered and grounded by AC adapter, and work with any brand of single conductor wrist strap (must be purchased separately).
