This handheld convection tool has a compact, robust
design with analog controls for both airflow and heat.
Utilizing a closed loop feedback circuit, temperature can
be adjusted from 212°F to 932°F and is maintained,
regardless of changes in the volume of airflow. The
HCT-900 can be used for the removal and replacement of
electronic components, including lead-free, from 0201 up
to a 304-pin QFP. It is also effective at reworking pin inhole
devices such as sockets and connectors. Using it
with solder braid and flux is a fast and efficient way to
remove solder shorts and splashes. It can also be used in
plastic applications such as applying shrink wrap to
components or the formation of plastic rivets. The unit's
self-contained, low noise (less than 45db) air pump
provides a precise flow of air from 6 to 25 l/min. A "power
off" cool down function retains airflow through the
handpiece while the unit powers down, providing efficient
heater cooling and reducing thermal stress. Station is fully
ESD compliant, operates on 115VAC, and is supplied
with a standard single jet 0.2" dia. nozzle (P/N H-D50).
Two accessory nozzle kits, each containing five nozzles,
are predefined for specific applications. Individual hot air
nozzles are available upon request. Please call our
