Resistance and current ranges have been extended to cover the widest range possible. The 8846A’s resistance measurement range is extended from 10W up to 1GW with a resolution of up to 10mW. For DC current measurements, the 8845A and 8846A ranges from 100mA to 10A with a maximum resolution of 100pA. Patented split terminal jacks for 2x4 ohms function allow you to perform precise 4-wire measurements with only two leads instead of four. The 8846A increases basic Vdc accuracy to 0.0024% plus adds measurements like capacitance, RTD temperature, and dBm. The 8846A also includes a USB port to connect standard USB memory devices for convenient storage or transfer of critical data to your PC. Both instruments include RS-232, IEEE-488, and Ethernet interfaces, as well as popular DMM emulation modes that make systems integration a simple task.
