Unlike units that monitor just one work surface and two operators, the WT1800 is capable of actually monitoring two work surfaces and two operators. A 5V 5ľA DC current provides dependable monitoring at a level that prevents harmful voltage build-up. The WT1800 signal is steady (not pulsed) for real continuous monitoring. This monitor utilizes the resistance principle and requires wrist straps with dual wire cords. Upper limit for wrist straps can be easily switched from 10 to 35 megohms (the 35 megohm limit is the proper setting for ANSI guidelines). Two banks of LEDs allow each workstation to be independently monitored. Flashing green LEDs indicate work surfaces meet system parameters for snap-to-ground resistance less than 3.7 megohms. Solid green LEDs indicate mats and operators are properly grounded. Failures are indicated by an audible alarm and appropriate solid red or yellow LEDs. An additional feature of the WT1800 is the flashing yellow "stand by" mode (no alarm) that indicates the wrist cord is "parked" and not in use. The WT1800 includes monitor, two remote jacks, and stand-by mount. Two dual wire wrist straps are available for use with the workstation monitor. The WB6050 has an adjustable fabric wrist band. The WB7050 is constructed of stainless steel metal plates with an insulative exterior. Both the WB6050 and WB7050 utilize an advanced single snap design. Dual wire wrist straps must be purchased separately.
