This AC-powered unit is designed to be wall-mounted in a production facility for daily testing of employees' static control wrist straps. Use of the optional Model 741 shoe electrode attachment allows the Model 740 to be used as a footwear (conductive shoes, heel and toe straps, etc.) tester as well. The user can select any of four different upper resistance levels (2, 5, 10 and 35MW for wrist straps; 10, 35, 50 and 100MW for footwear), making the Model 740 a versatile instrument to meet varying test standards. Green and red LEDs give a clear "go" or "no go" indication if the device being tested is within or outside of acceptable limits. The unit tests the wrist band and cord while they are being worn, and can also test each component independently to isolate an indicated fault. There is also a digital output that can be used to interface with a computer, automatic door lock, alarm, or other control device. Comes complete with AC/DC transformer, wall mounting kit, operating instructions, and 1-year warranty. Available with or without Certificate of Calibration.
