Metal-out construction, with the shielding layer very near the exterior surface, provides superior protection from punctures and tears caused by sharp leads on electronic components stored in the bag. A thin abrasion-resistant coating protects this metal surface from scratches, but still permits rapid charge draining when the bag is placed on a conductive or dissipative work surface. A polyester layer that is double the thickness found in economy bags is used as a sturdy foundation to which the thin metallization layer is applied. This makes these bags more durable and provides electrical isolation that prevents electrical currents from passing through the bag. The interior features an amine-free antistat agent that limits triboelectric charging of parts as they move around inside the bag. It does not contribute to corrosion of parts and functions properly in conditions as low as 10% R.H. The 2110 Series reclosable zip-lock bags are easier and faster to open and close than the 2100 Series standard bags. Their dual-track closure protects against dust and lint in the handling environment without the need for heat sealing, labels, tape or staples to close the bag. 100 bags per package.
