"285" is an RMA-based core flux that provides wetting
action comparable to that of typical RA fluxes. Although
"285" is an RMA-based material, the residues are noncorrosive
if not cleaned. "285" is classified as ORH1 per
J-STD-004.

90° extrusion process to virtually eliminate solder occlusions and flux voids. Modern
wire manufacturing equipment has made Kester unsurpassed in the high volume
manufacture of very fine diameter flux cored wire solder.
