CL Series tools are designed for production environments where torque repeatability is a must to maintain quality standards. They are intended for vertical insertion of fasteners and are powered by low voltage DC motors for electrical safety. Transformers are away from the driver, so there is no high voltage present in either the tool or its power cord. A high/low switch on the power supply allows the operator to make a quick reduction in the driver's RPM for critical plastic assemblies. At minimal additional cost, CL Series tools can be converted for use in clean room, Class 100 environments (call our Customer Service Department for further information). If tamper-proof torque is required, a locking mechanism can be provided to prevent the operator from changing a pre-set torque. Models are available with either lever actuation, push-to-start actuation (to reduce "cam-out", excessive bit wear, and fastener head damage), or pistol grip actuation (for horizontal applications). You may also choose drivers with either a standard 1/4" hex collet or a 4.0mm collet (recommended when working on very small fasteners, or when driver is used with a vacuum pick-up system). All models feature switch-actuated forward/reverse operation and include suspension hook, detachable power cord, and externally replaceable brushes. A transformer (not included) is required to power the drivers.
