The acrylic polymer floor finish dissipates static charges as well as prevents triboelectric charges (per ANSI/ESD S20.20), thus eliminating the need for static control tile or floor mats. It can be applied on many hard surfaces or sealed floors, including vinyl, VCT, linoleum, rubber, asphalt, and concrete. It prevents static charges generated by walking, and it dissipates a 5000-volt static charge to zero in less than .05 seconds per FTMS-101C, Method 4046 (cited in MIL-B-81705C). Surface resistivity is 107 ohms per ESD S4.1 at 50% R.H. Statguard® is easy to apply (18% solids), dries in less than one hour, leaves a clear, high-gloss finish, and is wear resistant. One gallon covers approximately 2,000 - 2,500-sq. ft. on smooth surfaces (less coverage on textured surfaces), and provides an effective, dissipative coating for up to 60 days in normal traffic areas. Statguard® is UL-approved as a slip-resistant floor treatment material. Compared to conventional pails, "bag-in-box" packaging is lighter and easier to handle, uses 92% less plastic, stores in less space, and gravity dispenses through a convenient faucet-type nozzle.
