This portable, non-contact meter has a 3-1/2" digit, 0.4" high LCD display that indicates surface voltage and polarity on objects up to ±20kV at a spacing of 1" with an accuracy of 5% on the displayed value. It features push-button, auto-zero and hold functions, auto-ranging, low battery indicator, and a unique, flashing LED rangefinder that provides accurate positioning of the meter from the target. An output jack with a standard phone plug connector is provided in order for the output of the instrument to be connected to an oscilloscope strip chart recorder, external meter or other device. This unit operates on a 9V battery (not included) and comes with carrying case and NIST-traceable Certificate of Calibration. The static meter can also be purchased as part of an ionization test kit (P/N 19447) that is ideal for checking the performance of ionization equipment. The kit includes a static meter, slide-on isolated plate assembly, ±1000 volt charging unit, and a durable thermoplastic carrying case with custom cut-outs for each of the above components.
