- Includes soldering and desoldering pencils for rework and repair applications
Features 80 watts of power for faster heat up and better performance even on heavy ground planes and multi-layer boards. Higher power translates into less time spent on the PC board and less potential for damaging components. Temperature is adjustable from 150°F to 850°F using push-button control and digital display. Lockout key maintains process control for set parameters. Soldering handpiece features a unique silver heating element and tip configuration that is more conductive, allowing heat to pass directly into the tip. Low-mass LT Series tips have faster recovery times when compared against other conventional irons and tips, resulting in little temperature loss when making multiple connections or during fast soldering. Temperature setback feature can be programmed from 5 to 60 min., extending tip life by automatically reducing tip temperature if handpiece is not in use. Desoldering handpiece utilizes a self-contained internal rotary vane pump, which generates 20.7" Hg of vacuum pressure and airflow of 10 liters/min., eliminating the need for shop air. To avoid clogging, a vacuum delay feature on desoldering tool allows solder to reach solder collection chamber before vacuum is shut off. Solder trap filter is constructed of disposable cardboard to make cleanout quick and easy. Threadless DX Series desoldering tiplets will not seize to the heater after continual heat-up and cool-down cycles. Station operates on 120VAC, is ESD-safe, and includes three independently controlled channels. Comes with power unit, 80W soldering iron (Model WP80 with LTB tip) and stand (P/N WPH81), and 80W inline desoldering tool (Model DXV80 with DX112 tiplet) and stand (P/N AKV80).
