Designed to monitor any conventional single-conductor wrist strap and ground cord system. Continuously verifies the proper grounding of outlet, operator(s), and work surface (resistance limit of 5 x 108 ohms). Confirms that the electrical discharge path to ground of the ESD protective work surface is less than 500MW. Provides instantaneous (<100mS) notification of static control equipment failures with audible and visual LED alarms. Features easy installation directly onto mat – no added wires. Operates on 120VAC and includes NIST-traceable Certificate of Calibration. Monitored Work surface must have a conductive layer such as Dual Layer Rubber (see related items). Continuous Monitors are not recommended for use with homogeneous vinyl.
