Foot grounders are designed for use in applications where user mobility is required. These foot grounders feature a laminated dual-layer rubber sole that has a conductive outer layer and an insulative inner layer that prevents carbon marring of shoes. They fulfill the ANSI/ESD S20.20 Paragraph 6.2.2.1. Personnel Grounding Requirements stating, "All personnel shall be bonded or electrically connected to ground or contrived ground when handling ESD sensitive items." The hook-and-loop VelcroŽ fastening assembly easily adjusts to fit most shoes. A conductive, nylon, polyester, grounding strap with a built-in 1MW resistor provides body-to-ground contact on both sides of the foot. Heel grounder 17200 is typically used for standard shoes, while toe grounder 17222 is ideal for high-heeled shoes.
