After inserting the "security card" that's included with the station, the desired
temperature can be set from 400°F to 899°F using the push-button keypad and digital
display. Once set, temperature is maintained within ±1.8°F and cannot be changed
without reinserting the card. This type of "card control" allows the supervisor to minimize damage to PC boards and components due to overheating while soldering. The tip
temperature value is stored in the memory of the station's built-in microcomputer,
allowing you to turn the power on and off without having to reset the temperature each
time. Super quick heat-up coupled with fast thermal recovery allows operators to spend
more time soldering and less time waiting for the tip to re-heat. It's compact size (4.7"W x 3.7"H x 6.7"D) and stackable design allows two units in the space of one. The Model 937ESD is ESD-safe and meets Mil-Specs MIL-STD-2000, DOD-STD-2000-1B and
WS-6536E, and ESD-Spec DOD-STD-1686, DOD-HDBK-263. Comes with security
card, 50-watt soldering iron, 900MT16D tip, iron holder with sponge, and 3-wire cord.
