Resistance soldering offers several advantages over conventional conduction-type soldering. Heat is localized so heat-sensitive materials and components next to work being soldered will not be damaged. It is clean, since solder is applied directly to the connection-no wasted solder; no sloppy joints. And it is cost effective because it draws power only when soldering-saves energy, and reduces maintenance and replacement costs. Model 103A3 power unit has infinitely variable temperature control, with dial settings for duplicating heat output at a later date. Wattage range is 0-100W. Model 10541 tweezer-type handpiece assures perfect contact and control on microminiature setups and is able to hold parts for soldering. Space between .078" dia. stainless steel electrodes is adjustable from 0" to 3/8", and may be formed or bent for added flexibility. Model 10519 footswitch eliminates sparking when electrodes make contact with or are removed from work. It also provides more accurate timing of soldering operations. Components must be ordered individually.
