The Model RTV not only routinely accepts various types of caps (TO-92s, LEDs, SIPs, etc.), but in its manual mode will easily trim components that are just too top heavy for other vibratory processors. An exclusive vibratory mechanism operates in a horizontal plane to provide far graeter stability so parts are not toppled. Operating the RTV begins with a simple knob adjustment for cut length. The calibrated window gage makes this fast and easy. Cutting is performed by a true shear (scissors) action between a serrated rotating cutting disc which grasps the leads, and a reaction blade of 72Rc hardness which delivers a clean, precise cut. Components are always within easy reach and in full view because the entire conveyor area is fully exposed.
